We took pictures this evening to use for our Christmas card. This is not the picture that we’re actually going to use, but it’s good enough for my little monthly project (three more months to go… I will not quit!). I am very thankful to have photographer friends who I could call on to help me with this, but honestly, my kids sometimes do better with just us and the tripod… so tonight it was just the four of us and my camera (plus one random guy walking his dog who got to enjoy part of the show). The kids think it’s comical to see me set the timer and then race over to where they are. I’m addicted to my 70-200mm lens, which means I’ve got a LONG way to run. :) Inevitably, I almost always trip and fall or twist my ankle. Coordination has never been my strong suit. I love how my kids count out loud so I’ll know how long I’ve got until the shutter clicks (20 seconds), and as soon as it’s over, they run back to the camera to see how it turned out. And let me tell you, they are very critical of each picture, especially the girl (and I have NO IDEA where she gets that… cough, cough).
