Thankful.

My family and I spent Thanksgiving in Phoenix, Arizona, which is where my husband grew up and my in-laws still live.  Most of you are familiar with my story by now.  I grew up in Southern Illinois, but I moved to Phoenix ten years ago after graduating from law school.  That is where I passed the bar exam, practiced law, met my husband, bought my first home, and had my first child.  I love the desert.  I do.  My hair never looks better than it does in 8% humidity.  I love the fact you can wear sleeveless dresses at Easter without having to throw a winter coat on top.  I love the tall Saguaros.  And I absolutely cannot get enough of the gorgeous San Tan Mountains.  But something changed in me when my daughter was born and I longed for seasons again.  When Torin was six-months-old, we moved to Nashville.  This is home now, and I never want to live anywhere else.  But it’s wonderful to go back to visit.  :)

My pride and joy.  Notice how my son is incapable of acting normal for a picture.
