I spent Wednesday morning down in Franklin with two little boys… the little one is 4-months-old and he LOVED smiling for my camera! Even though he face-planted a few times while on his tummy, he really tried sooo hard to be big and strong for me! This picture of him is my favorite – I love that it shows off the squeezable rolls on his arms and his big bright eyes. :)

After spending some time with the baby, I told his mom that I was going to photograph the 3-year-old, to which she replied “Good luck with that… he doesn’t like having his picture taken.” Okaaaaay. No problem. Instead of taking pictures, we decided to just take his new car out for a spin on his brand new playground in the backyard. Sometimes these are the best images to capture… real life at age three. An added bonus for this family – I tested the weight limit on the new playground, and they can rest assured that it’s very sturdy!!! (Funny story… as I was gingerly climbing back down the ladder trying not to hit my head or scratch my back on the canopy bar, I hear my buddy yell, “You left your camera! I’ll bring it down for you!” Oh dear Lord, I thought I was going to have a heart attack! Don’t you just love helpful little boys!!!)
