Monthly Archives: August 2011

Four people twelve times \\ August

This month’s picture is brought to you by my 1st grader.  This is the image that he artfully drew the first week of school.  I must say, it is a remarkable depiction of our family.  The sun is shining, there are beautiful clouds in the sky, and everyone is smiling.  But wait…  who’s the angry red-faced woman with the dark facial hair?  Yes, that would be YOURS TRULY.  I asked Parker if the person with the red face was me or Daddy.  He giggled and he proudly said, “That’s YOU, Mama!”  Maybe I got a little too sunburned at the beach.  And clearly, my laser treatments are not working as well as I had hoped (I promise my beard doesn’t look that hideous in person).  I’m not sure whether to laugh or cry at this picture.  But I will always cherish it, and I will always be thankful that at least my feet aren’t bigger than my head (sorry, Torin).

Ally ~ Ravenwood High ~ Class of 2012

I had the privilege of photographing another gorgeous senior over the weekend.  Ally brought her boyfriend along for her session, and the two of them were so much fun to be around!

The Kobukai Family.

Here’s a peek at a beautiful family that I got to spend time with over the weekend.  It was so good to see them again… Hiroto and Sato were so sweet and are growing up so fast!  Their little sister, Koto, was more interested in running away from the camera, but I managed to sneak in a few shots!  :)

Meet Clarke.  He’s brand new.  And he’s the cutest Mississippi State fan that I’ve ever met!

Baby Caroline.

I love a woman who knows what she wants.  And this adorable girl knew that she did not want her picture taken.  :)  She was not thrilled with me taking her out of her comfy bouncy seat and moving her from place to place, changing her clothes, and trying on funny hats.  Despite the challenging photo session, I fell in love with her attitude and spunk!  (Plus, how could you not fall in love with all of that gorgeous dark hair!)
