Monthly Archives: June 2010

Now booking the remainder of 2010.

It’s time to start planning for fall!  I have updated my calendar to reflect the “open” dates/times that I have available through November.  You will notice that there are three “Mini-Session Days” on the calendar.  This is something new that I have decided to offer this year, and here is the info!

MINI-SESSIONS:  The dates are September 25, October 23, and November 6.  All mini-sessions will be held at the historic Carnton Plantation in Franklin and will last 25 minutes, so please be on time and ready to go (and please do not plan on clothing changes… I want to use every minute of available time to capture your family!).  The cost of a mini-session is $285 and it includes the session fee plus a CD with 15-20 full-resolution edited images (with reprinting rights).  Perfect for Christmas cards and gifts!

And while we’re on the subject of Christmas cards… I will only be offering a limited number of card designs this year, because I simply do not have time during the busy fall season to create/edit/proof multiple samples for each client.  For those of you who purchase the digital files, you are free to upload the images to any card maker you like, and there are a ton of good ones out there.  My two favorite card companies (at least at the moment) are Mango Ink and Minted.  Both of these companies have some very fun designs and print their cards on high-quality paper.  I will definitely be ordering my personal cards from one of these two places!

I am excited about the last half of 2010 and anticipate another great year with my FABULOUS clients!!!  If you have any questions or want to get your awesome self on my calendar, email me!

Sofia & Spiro.

I photographed Sofia & Spiro at the Belle Meade Plantation this morning.  They are quite possibly the cutest brother-sister duo ever!  I love them because they are always so easy to work with.  They love me because I bring them Pez.  :)

The kids next door.

Here’s a peek at a few pictures I took on Sunday evening of  Torin & Parker’s good buddies.  These kids live across the street and have to put up with seeing me every single day during the school year.  :)

Their mom wore my kids out last week at VBS, so I tried to return the favor by wearing hers out.  I figured running and jumping in the oppressive heat ought to do it!!!

Lane, age 5.

By the time Lane’s session rolled around at 4 p.m. on Saturday, it was about 147 degrees outside (give or take a few).  But I loved every second that I got to spend with this kid and his beautiful momma!  Sure, I was as hot as a firecracker when we were finished, but that was probably because of all of the running, chasing, climbing, and burping that we did!  :)  Gotta love 5-year-old boys…

Saturday morning.

The second little sweetie that I got to photograph on Saturday morning was 20-months-old.  We had originally tried to get together around her 18-month mark, but due to rain and other circumstances, we kept having to reschedule.  I was thrilled that I finally got to meet her and her parents this weekend!

Andrew & Jack.

You’ll notice that these two adorable brothers look pretty cool and collected… I will assure you that I was dripping with sweat!  Oh my.  This weekend was toasty!  In fact, we had to delay our session for about 10 minutes in the beginning because it was so hot and humid that my camera was fogged up (which normally only happens to me at the beach)!  Thank you to this family for plugging along with me!  :)
