Saturday’s family.

These are the BEST kids ever, and let me tell you why!!!  I showed up right on time for our morning session at Ellington.  We got the kids out… I put them in position… ready to take the shot… and… RECORD-SCREECHING HALT.  I did not have my camera battery!!!  I was horrified!  I dug and dug in my backpack, but the spare battery was also MIA.  I was sweating bullets.  Fortunately, this sweet family was sooo understanding.  They waited patiently while my husband came to my rescue and delivered my battery (which had been left at home in my charger).  Needless to say, I learned a lesson.  I will always, always, always double check my bag before walking out the door!

Thursday’s family.

Every photo session is different, but when there are three young kids like in this family, you can guarantee that we’ll do a lot of walking, twirling, tickling, swinging, bubble-blowing, and lollipop eating!  Thank you to this beautiful family for letting me photograph them this morning!

Anna Sparrow, 1 week old.

I’m sure lots of you will recognize these folks – they’re one of my favorite families!  They have three of the sweetest boys, and I am tickled pink that they have finally added a GIRL!  Anna Sparrow is gorgeous, and based on her lively personality today, she’s definitely going to be able to hold her own with the older brothers!  :)

This is what happened once she realized that I had snatched her big green soothie pacifier away!  ;)

Owen, age 1.

I have had the privilege of watching Owen grow up over the past year, and for his 1-year session, we decided to include the whole family!  It was all fun and games until the very end when his mother and I had a very close encounter with a very large snake that had slithered up from the field!  Luckily, Owen and his brother were oblivious to the fact that I almost got my legs chewed off (I’m sure that’s what the snake was going to do).  If I hadn’t been screaming and running the other direction, I would’ve taken a picture of it for you.  Here are a few of the cute pictures we took just before my near-death experience!  Happy 1st birthday, Owen!  :)

Eli, age 6.

Silly faces, bad knock-knock jokes, and of course the toot machine… just another fun afternoon with a kindergarten boy!  :)

Maclaine, age 2.

I got to hang out with Maclaine on Saturday!  I’m not gonna lie, we had a rough start.  She did NOT want to have her picture taken.  No ma’am.  She just wanted to hop back in her car and head straight for the Franklin Rodeo parade.  So she pleaded her case to her mother, but her mother wouldn’t budge.

Since Mom was in no mood to negotiate, she went to Dad and begged him to remove her from this horrible picture-taking predicament.  But Dad held strong and wouldn’t give in, either.

I thought a lollipop might help, but you can tell from the look on her face that she was not accepting any bribes.

The pressure was almost more than she could take.

So she made sure that we weren’t being watched…

And she pulled it together long enough to show me her beautiful smile!  Happy Birthday, Maclaine!  :)
