My last official session of the year always seems to be a newborn session, and this year was no different! Baby Lily is an absolutely beautiful little girl, and I know her family is excited to have her here in time for Christmas!

I got to photograph Roxy last weekend! If you know me very well at all, you know that I’m not really a dog person. In fact, I generally prefer a total pet-free environment. But Roxy is different. I’m pretty sure she is part human. I can’t quite put my finger on why I like her so much, but I do.
Roxy has a pretty good-looking family, and I like them a lot, too. :) These were taken on their farm in Lebanon. We roasted marshmallows, ate candy canes, and decorated a Christmas tree out in the middle of nowhere. I love hanging out with these folks!

I’ve got a whole long list of things I am thankful for this year, and these three kids are definitely towards the top of the list! Their mother is a wonderful friend of mine who I met in college. She was a fellow political science major, and we spent many nights discussing international relations, comparative politics, government administration, makeup, boys, and that new invention called the world wide web. A lot has changed since the early 90′s… our conversations these days usually center around the kids, and when you get her three plus my two together for an afternoon to play, get ready for a lot of laughter and a lot of NOISE. :) We had a great time visiting with them last weekend and are so thankful for their friendship!

I was so excited to get to photograph this family! These were just a few of my favorites…
I am determined to get this blog all caught up before Thanksgiving! First, I want to show you sweet little Luke, who is almost two. He found all sorts of leaves and sticks to bring to me during his session, and I am so appreciative of his generosity. Boys don’t typically give away these treasures very easily, so I’m going to take that as a special sign of friendship between us. :)

I also have to show off Taylor and Bella! I look forward to photographing them every year for their Christmas cards. We have frozen our tushies off in years past, so I was particularly excited that Saturday was warm and sunny for these fun kids!

Get ready for some serious cuteness… here’s a peek at Kate’s session from last week!
